To enhance the overall production quality of their live presentations, training events, and company meetings by upgrading the audio, video, lighting, and broadcast systems at their Champions Training Center, located in Plano, Texas.
Texadia Systems was hired to design and install this new system, which consisted of a new video distribution and projection solution featuring two 10,000 lumen, laser-phosphorus based projectors by Panasonic. Each of these projectors are displayed on two massive, 226″ diagonal motorized projection screens by Draper. Each projector is fed HD-SDI video signals from a new production switching system by Blackmagic Design. This system consists of the ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Switcher, SmartHub router, and various Teranex video standards converters giving the operator the most flexibility regarding video sources. Two new Panasonic broadcast-level robotic cameras are wall mounted, providing full coverage of the stage platform and audience. Additional laptop sources, stage inputs, and a MacPro production PC are available for use.
The audio system consists of new RCF Active Line Arrays flanking the stage. These self-powered arrays feature flown sub woofers, for extended low-end response and short fill cabinets to fill the first couple of rows. Biamp Systems Tesira Forte products are being used for signal processing, routing, and automation of the sound system. For live production mixing, a Midas M32 mixing console was chosen. This new system provides a concert level experience to the audience, with an even coverage and a very smooth frequency response.
An LED-based stage lighting system by Chauvet Professional was installed to light the stage platform for both live production and video streaming events. A custom user interface was created to control the lighting scenes, also giving the user the ability to mix colors for effect. A new Crestron control system was installed to give the user a way to quickly recall presets, route video, control lighting, etc.
